Glenholme holds soft opening for salon
Glenholme held a soft opening for its new hair and nail salon with student and staff group tours of the space on Wednesday, May 31. The timing was perfect with prom only a few days away.
Executive Director Maryann Campbell noted, “We have long dreamed of a salon at Glenholme. This is truly an incredible learning space to be in. It is a place where self-image, esteem and hygiene can be incorporated into student routines and activities in a highly constructive way.”
Taking pride in one’s appearance is a natural progression — especially for young men and women. With the use of the new salon, students at Glenholme can build upon their skill sets and self-image in a way that is truly effective and meaningful.
The Salon was a main focus of the 2016 Parents’ Weekend benefit for the school. The extraordinary generosity of parents, staff and supporters created a truly sophisticated space for students.
Tucked in a central yet convenient nook attached to the Music Building, the Salon’s main entrance is accessed by way of a peaceful Zen garden and attractive stone patio. The warm, welcoming atmosphere continues once inside with colorful decorations and all the comforts one would anticipate in a full spa. “Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful,” an important message of any salon or space for magnificence, is even inscribed on one of walls.
Join us in celebrating the construction of the long-awaited Salon, an incredible place in which to “Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful.”
