It is not my intention to negate the accomplishments and leadership of our outstanding male counterparts especially because so many of them are in full support of Chamber initiatives both financially and personally.
However, as women continue to have a greater presence in the workplace and in leadership roles, there is a need to provide programs geared toward their personal and professional development. WOW! Are we ever on target in a beautiful way!
Here’s the scoop! Just imagine “The Beauty of Business”! On Oct. 6, downtown Torrington will again be alive with the excitement created by the WOW! Forum at the Carole & Ray Neag Performing Arts Center of the Warner Theatre.

Vanessa Williams, founder and CEO of Leading Edge Consulting is a global executive coach with experience in Executive Coaching, Leadership Advancement, Strategic Planning and Management. Vanessa will be this year’s Master of Ceremony.
Linda McMahon, Administrator of the United States Small Business Administration will welcome the attendees and kick off her nationwide “Ignite Tour” at
Wow. She advocates on behalf of almost 29 million small businesses in America.
Tim Quinn, a native of Torrington and now part of the Giorgio Armani SheBeauty team, is featured as one of the “25 Beauty Stars” and won a Genius Award as a Genius Makeup Artist.
Jahana Hayes, the 2016 National Teacher of the Year, is the Talent & Professional Development Supervisor for the Waterbury Public Schools.
Nancy Butler is the owner of “Success in Life and Business” and
started a business that grew to $200 million in assets under her management.
Act Natural Health & Wellness was born of Pam Pinto’s passion to life a healthy life. She will be on stage giving us a demonstration on nutrition and healthy living.
What would life be life without music? Phyllis Webb and her husband Dale launched The Magic Fluke, redesigning and manufacturing ukuleles. Yes – beautiful – here in the United States.
