NORFOLK — The Norfolk Curling Club is preparing to kick off its new season with the fourth annual “Wine on Ice” tasting and silent auction. The event will be at the club, 70 Golf Drive in Norfolk, on Nov. 11, from 4-7 p.m.

Wine on Ice IV will include tasting of a diverse selection of red, white and rosé wines with a range of prices from $12 to $40 provided by Ledgebrook Spirit Shop and Stateline Wine & Spirits. There will be craft beers from Two Roads Brewing Company and Big Elm Brewing and hand-crafted spirits from Berkshire Mountain Distillers and Full Moonshine.

Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Wood Creek Bar & Grill, Infinity Music Hall & Bistro, Berkshire Country Store, Station Place Café, and Husky Meadows Farm. The event also includes live curling demonstrations by members of the club and a silent auction featuring a variety of unique items.

“This is a great opportunity for people to sample an exciting selection of wines, beer, and spirits in preparation for the upcoming holiday season — whether it’s for their own parties or gift giving. The silent auction is sure to include many great holiday gift ideas,” said event chairwoman Caryn Trager.

Wine on Ice IV is a public fundraiser for the club, which has rebuilt its facility following an arson in 2011 but still has outstanding loans. A portion of all proceeds will support programs that promote the Olympic sport of curling. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Advance tickets are available via PayPal at norfolkcurlingclub.org, by calling Caryn Trager at 860922-2057, or by email to winetasting@norfolkcurlingclub.org.
