UCONN VS. OREGON

TV: ESPNU
Radio: WTIC-1080
KEEP AN EYE ON
New Ducks: The Oregon team that takes the floor on Thursday night will bear little resemblance to the squad that beat UConn 79-69 in last year’s Maui Invitational. Payton Pritchard is the only starter who is back this season, and Keith Smith (who played two minutes against the Huskies last year) is the only other player who played at all. The Ducks advanced to the Final Four last year, where they lost to eventualchampion North Carolina. Well-balanced: The Ducks have had at least five players score in double figures in each of their last three games. Pritchard led the way in Monday’s 95-71 win over Ball State with a career-high 20 points to go with eight assists and no turnovers. On to Sparty ... or DePaul: The winner of Thursday’s game will face the winner of Thursday’s Michigan StateDePaul matchup. The loser plays the loser of that game. DePaul is coached by former UConn assistant Dave Leitao.
