Stand against human trafficking

-

My name is Matthew Carrier, and I am a 15-year-old high school sophomore who cares deeply about ending the epidemic of human trafficking. A very likely hundred thousand children in America are not free; they are slaves, forced by their trafficker to do manual labor days at a time, or perform sexual acts, just to keep their lives. Human trafficking plagues every community across America, and can easily be happening less than a mile from your doorstep. As horrific as trafficking is, it can easily be stopped by the strengthening of policy against human trafficking.

The CATCH Traffickers Act of 2017 will put human traffickers in jail, free innocent children, and protect millions of women and girls around the country from sexual exploitation. You can support by clicking this link http://bit.ly/2kZIixe and simply by providing your name and email you are helping end human trafficking. At least one thousand signatures by the end of 2017 are vital in the passing of this bill.

The Coordinated Assistance to Catch Human Traffickers Act of 2017 directs the Department of Homeland Security to establish and maintain a national database for ongoing human trafficking investigations. The information will contain descriptions of the way traffickers treated victims, as well as the tactics they used to keep their victims silent, these descriptions will be extremely helpful for investigators and law enforcement to find trend. Finding and tracking these re-occurrences on a database will make arresting traffickers much easier for police.

This holiday, one thing the majority of America won’t even think about is the hundreds of thousands of Americans trapped by the heinous act of human trafficking. Please consider helping to protect and free hundreds of thousands of women and children across the country by signing this petition.
