KEEP AN EYE ON

⏩ The long and short of it. UCF will have a very different look from the team that lost at Gampel Pavilion on Jan. 10. Tacko Fall, at 7-foot-6 literally one of the world’s tallest humans, is out for the season due to a shoulder injury. However, guard B.J. Taylor, the team’s leading scorer the past two seasons, will be in his fourth game back after missing almost the entire prior 17 games with a foot injury.

“He’s one of the best players in our league,” Kevin Ollie said of Taylor. “I imagine he’s getting better each and every game. We’ve got to contain him. They’re running a lot more pick-and-rolls. Without Tacko in there, it’s definitely different, but getting B.J. is a shot in the arm for them, also.”

⏩ A sort of homecoming. UConn freshman forward Tyler Polley will play his first collegiate game inside his home state of Florida. Polley, who hails from Miramar, Florida, said he’ll have about 10 family members and friends in attendance. Polley started the last two games with Terry Larrier out.

⏩ The Late Show. After playing a rare 8 p.m Sunday game, the Huskies will play their sixth game of the season starting at 9 p.m. or later.

Asked if that takes a toll on the team, Ollie responded: “If this is your priority, you take pride in UConn, take pride in what you’re doing, you’re willing to struggle for it. That’s all I can say. A lot of times, I didn’t want to do anything, but I struggled for it — to put this jersey on. If it’s midnight or it’s noontime, I’m gonna come out there and play my best, give it my all.”
