Standoff ends with arrest
LITCHFIELD — A 28year-old man is facing charges after a standoff on Andre Drive Friday evening, police said.
Robert Fisher was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and firstdegree reckless endangerment Friday.
Troop L received a complaint just after 5:30 p.m. that a man was threatening others at an apartment on Andre Drive in the Northfield section of town. Police then learned the suspect actually lives at the address and was in possession of multiple weapons, according to a release from the Connecticut State Police.
Fisher did not initially comply with police requests, but the state police tactical team was able to take him into custody without incident, police said.
Fisher is being held in lieu of a $100,000 cash or surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court in Torrington on Monday.
