Support Amanda Webster for 62nd District

I am writing today to indicate my support for Amanda Webster as the next state representative for the 62nd District.

I first met Amanda Webster last year when I was running for local office in New Hartford, when she called to ask if she could help our Democratic candidates with our canvassing efforts. We took her up on her offer, and Amanda jumped right in and went door to door with several of our candidates.

I was impressed then, and continue to be astounded by the energy, enthusiasm and commitment Amanda brings to everything she does.

Amanda is not a person you need to ask to pitch in to support the causes she believes in. She is selflessly committed to her family and to creating a better future for all families throughout the state and our local communities.

Amanda stands for real family values — effective and affordable education for our kids in an increasingly competitive world, the right of everyone to quality and affordable health care, a clean and sustainable environment and the well-being of our children and the elderly.

Amanda will bring that energy and sense of caring to our legislature and, as I learned a year ago, she will hit the ground running.

Amanda will do the hard work without being asked, and without asking for recognition or reward. Amanda will do the right thing without fear of, or favor from, special interest groups.

When is the last time you could say that about your legislator in the statehouse?
