WINSTED — The Northwest Connecticut Arts Council will co-host a region-wide, free networking event — CultureMIX — on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Mad River Lofts, 10 Bridge Street in Winsted. Mad River Lofts is a renovated knitting mill offering modern work spaces and offices for small businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs, artists and artisans. During the CultureMIX, attendees are encouraged to learn more about Mad River Lofts and the Arts Council and to share their own connection and activities in the region’s cultural landscape. Advance registration for CultureMIX is strongly recommended.
The CultureMIX events, organized by the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council each year, allow people the opportunity to make new professional contacts, discover additional resources, and develop real collaborations. The Arts Council itself provides information about its newest projects and current services in addition to taking advantage of the opportunity to hear first-hand from the community about how the Council can better service the region and promote its cultural assets.
This year, the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council is adding another opportunity to showcase members’ work during the CultureMIXa Pop-Up Art Show which will take place during the event.
