Pho­tog­ra­pher to show work at Flan­ders cen­ter

WOODBURY — “The Great Amer­i­can Drive-in The­ater – A Pho­to­graphic Per­spec­tive,” will be pre­sented by Woodbury res­i­dent, pho­tog­ra­pher and writer Carl Weese, who will speak on that great Amer­i­can icon, the drive-in the­ater.

Once num­ber­ing at 4,000 and found in ev­ery cor­ner of the coun­try, there are now fewer than 400 re­main­ing in op­er­a­tion to­day. The pro­gram will be held Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Woodbury Li­brary, 269 Main St. South, Woodbury.

Long fas­ci­nated by drive-in the­aters Weese will show­case a pho­to­graphic pre­sen­ta­tion on a se­lec­tion of the 200 black and white pho­tos he has taken of them over nearly 20 years from states all across the coun­try.

He will also be shar­ing their in­ter­est­ing his­tory, and pro­vid­ing in­sight and anec­dotes.

Do­na­tions will be ac­cepted to help de­fray Flan­ders’ pro­gram­ming ex­penses. In keep­ing with the movie theme, there will be pop­corn for all at­tend­ing.
