Tickets available for Heroes Ball
HARTFORD — The American Red Cross of Connecticut and Rhode Island will host the 14th Annual Red Cross Heroes Ball on Saturday, March 23, 6 to 11 p.m. at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
This year, the Red Cross will honor individuals and organizations who make it possible for the Red Cross to collect and deliver lifesaving blood to patients in need.
The need for blood is constant, as every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. The Red Cross relies on the generosity of volunteer blood and platelet donors to meet hospital patients’ needs, and to deliver around 40 percent of the nation’s blood supply.
This year’s Red Cross Heroes Ball will be an evening full of fun, inspiration and heroes. This year’s event is being co-chaired by Tom Vaccarelli, Vice President of Facilities, Construction and Real Estate at Hartford HealthCare and Marcia Keegan, Vice President of National Radio Programming and Production at ESPN. Resiliency Sponsors this year include Mohegan Sun and ESPN. The Ball will be emceed by WTNH News 8’s Keith Kountz. Tickets and information are available at www.redcross.org/RedCrossBall.
Sponsorship opportunities for the 2019 Red Cross Ball are still available. For information on sponsoring the event, contact Libby Richardson at Libby.Richardson@redcross.org or 860-878-4818.
