RIVER SITE OPENING: A new river access site is opening on the Housatonic River, with a ribbon cutting May 25, 2 p.m. at “The Bend” of the Housatonic River in West Cornwall, just downstream from the covered bridge on Lower River Road. All are invited to enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers, and a brief dedication ceremony with local officials and conservationists, property owners and others.
