4: Players from Connecticu­t universiti­es to earn NFCA All-Region recognitio­n as Fairfield’s Amanda Ulzheimer and Lauryn Rhinehart were named first and second team Northeast selections, Sacred Heart’s Fallon Bevino of Milford joined Rhinehart on the Northeast second team and Hartford’s Danielle Rocheleau was a second team MidAtlanti­c pick. Torrington’s Ali DuBois, who pitched Boston University into the NCAA tournament, was a Northeast first teamer and Ansonia’s Lauren Pitney from Manhattan College earned Northeast second team honors.

4: Career-high goal total for Lucas Cotler in Yale lacrosse team’s 19-18 overtime victory over Penn in NCAA quarterfin­als as he posted five-point games in both NCAA tournament contests.

6: Victories by Yale crew program at Eastern Sprints Regatta, including a win by nearly six seconds in the Varsity Eight Grand Final.

7: Extra-base hits by Quinnipiac’s Andre Marrero in 13 at bats to earn MAAC baseball player of the week honors as he had four doubles and three homers among his eight hits.

9: Hits in a three-game winning streak by former Amity High star and UConn freshman catcher Pat Winkel who was 9 of 14 with 11 RBIs and four extra-base hits in a victory over Rhode Island and a pair of wins over Tulane.

11: Hits by Trinity’s Matt Koperniak in NCAA Division III baseball regional including eight in back to back games against Salve Regina and Babson.

13: Goals for Quinnipiac women’s hockey transfer Taylor Girard during her sophomore season at Lindenwood.
