City announces summer road projects

TORRINGTON — The city will perform road reconstruc­tion work on a group of roads from midJune to October 2019.

The proposed improvemen­ts will include road reclamatio­n, new storm drainage, curb and asphalt pavement, according to a release.

The public should expect daily traffic delays due to one-way alternatin­g traffic and daily road closures allowing local traffic only, the release noted. Pass through traffic is advised to avoid these roads and use alternate routes.

Constructi­on will start with Section 1 and continue in sequence through Section 8, the release said.

Residents and others are asked no to park any vehicles on these roads during constructi­on. Vehicles in the way of constructi­on will be towed at the owner’s expense, the release said.

Expect most constructi­on from mid-July through August

Section 6 - Hillandale Blvd.

Section 7 - Jordan Lane Expect most constructi­on from July through August

Section 8 - Pepper Drive, Ginger Lane

Expect most constructi­on from mid-August and finish in October
