City announces summer road projects
TORRINGTON — The city will perform road reconstruction work on a group of roads from midJune to October 2019.
The proposed improvements will include road reclamation, new storm drainage, curb and asphalt pavement, according to a release.
The public should expect daily traffic delays due to one-way alternating traffic and daily road closures allowing local traffic only, the release noted. Pass through traffic is advised to avoid these roads and use alternate routes.
Construction will start with Section 1 and continue in sequence through Section 8, the release said.
Residents and others are asked no to park any vehicles on these roads during construction. Vehicles in the way of construction will be towed at the owner’s expense, the release said.
