Hospital resumes wellness class series

SHARON — A nocost, community benefit lunch program, LunchandLe­arn wellness series, begins in September at Sharon Hospital. A healthful meal is served while Sharon Hospital medical staff providers present on key preventive health topics.

Simple steps such as keeping your back flexible and strong as well as proper lifting and bending techniques can minimize the chance of future pain or injury.

Intro to Integrativ­e Medicine for Women: Oct. 22, 121:30 p.m., Sharon Hospital Board Conference Room 2

Integrativ­e medicine can provide women with a personaliz­ed care plan that supports the whole person and addresses physical, emotional, mental and social aspects of wellbeing. Fellowship trained in integrativ­e medicine, Dr. Susan Parisi, OB/GYN, will discuss complement­ary therapies that support women’s health.

Painful Joints — Arthritis and Beyond: Nov. 6, 121:30 p.m., Sharon Hospital Board Conference Room 2

Dr. Alexander Clark, Sharon Hospital Medical Practice orthopedic and sports medicine physician, will discuss different options for living with arthritis and other painful joint diseases.
