2 sought in armed carjacking at ATM

TORRINGTON Police are looking for two men who allegedly carjacked a man at gunpoint Monday night, according to WFSB.

The victim told police that was he at an ATM near the Teachers Federal Credit Union on East Main Street at about 8 p.m. when he was approached by two men.

One of the men was holding what appeared to be a black gun, but he did not overtly threaten the victim, reports said.

The man with the gun got into the driver's seat of the victim's vehicle and the second man got into the passenger seat, WTNH said.

It is unclear if the victim was inside or outside his car when he was approached.

The pair drove off with his car headed west on East Main Street, reports said.

The men are believed to be in their 20s or 30s.
