Craft Center hosts 44th annual sale

The Brookfield Craft Center’s 44th annual Holiday Sale, taking place Saturday, Nov. 9, through Tuesday, Dec. 31, will feature a mix of oneofakind handcrafte­d gifts, from holiday ornaments to woodcrafts, glass crafts and jewelry, to pottery, fiber works and more.

Gift seekers can shop tax free at a meettheart­ists preview party taking place in the BCC’s Gallery Shop on Friday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The sale and exhibit of local and national uniquely crafted selections has drawn hundreds of visitors from across the Northeast every year for over 40 years.

“So many people look forward to exploring our sale. They travel from across the East Coast to view and purchase items that just can’t be found anywhere else,” Jillian Doherty, Craft Center Gallery manager, said in a news release. “Whether you are looking for a functional pottery piece, a funky hat or scarf to keep you warm, stunning blown or fused glass decorative items, or a standout piece of jewelry, we have these items and more at all prices.”

A Shop Local Saturday sale, featuring a 15% discount for BCC members, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“Shopping Brookfield Craft Center during our Holiday Sale and all year round not only gives you an opportunit­y to buy a very special gift, and it helps to sustain a nationally recognized center for fine craft and to support fine craft artists both locally and from across the United States,” Howard Lasser, Executive Director, said. “Our institutio­n is dedicated to advancing the skills of fine craftsmans­hip, supporting artists, fostering creativity, building community and preserving our historic campus for future generation­s to enjoy. Every purchase made in our gallery store helps us move towards these goals.”
