Wellspring welcomes Colegrove as new director
BETHLEHEM — Jama Colegrove has joined Wellspring as its new Director of Outpatient Services and Assistant Clinical Director. In these roles, she will work collaboratively to integrate clinical programming across Wellspring’s breadth of services, and lead Wellspring’s Outpatient Counseling Services.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, Colegrove has worked with children, teens, couples, adult individuals, and families who have experienced child trauma, attachment difficulties, issues of grief and loss, and complex family issues.
When asked to describe her counseling approach, Jama said, “I seek to listen well and to honor each client's unique experiences and perspectives. I highly value therapeutic art, improvisational games, play therapy, sand tray work, and other expressive interventions. My approach is highly relational and is in harmony with the Wellspring philosophy.”
Colegrove earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut University and has worked in both private practice and in agencies serving youth and families. She and her husband live in Wethersfield, CT.

Moshe Zutler MD joins CHH practice
TORRINGTON — The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Pulmonary and Critical Care practice recently welcomed pulmonologist Moshe Zutler, MD, to the practice, joining pulmonologist Dr. Richard Krinsky at his office at 540 Litchfield Street, Turner Coe Annex, Torrington.
Dr. Zutler is a graduate of Northwestern University
Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He earned a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics in Stanford, CA. His areas of interest include Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
CHH Pulmonary and Critical Care practice provides state-of-the-art clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with diseases related to lungs and breathing. The
practice is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and accepts most major insurances. The practice is accepting new patients. Patients should use the parking spaces and a patient entrance located in the lot behind the CHH Memorial Building. The lot and entrance are handicapped accessible. GHAR names new president
HARTFORD — The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) announces Diane McAdams, of eXp Realty, will serve as 2020 president. McAdams was installed to the position at the GHAR Annual Meeting in December, held at the Marriott Downtown in Hartford. The evening also recognized the 2020 installation of the Board of Directors. McAdams succeeded Rob Levine as the top volunteer leader of the local Realtors association, which serves more than 4,000 members.
McAdams began her career in real estate in 2003 and has been heavily involved in the association on the local and state level. She has a wide range of experience in real estate and association leadership.
“I’m excited to lead us through our centennial year at the association,” said McAdams. “It’s a privilege to help provide support to our Realtor members, as well as promote our value in the process of home buying and selling,” she said.
A member of the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce, McAdams not only supports her community, but is also a strong supporter of pro-homeowner legislation in Connecticut. She has served on the GHAR Board of Directors since 2013, is a member of numerous GHAR committees, and has served as a Connecticut REALTORS® Director since 2013.
Alzheimer’s Association named official Lime Rock Park charity
AKEVILLE, Conn.—Lime Rock Park, the historic automotive and entertainment venue has selected the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut chapter as its 2020 official charity and will host the Northwestern Connecticut Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, Oct. 4.
There are 78 thousand people in Connecticut living with Alzheimer’s disease and 178,000 caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut chapter supports families by providing services including education classes, support groups, a 24/7 helpline, advocacy and by funding critical research to find new treatments or a cure.
“Each year, Lime Rock Park selects an official charity to support throughout the year and we’re pleased to select the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut chapter as this year’s benefactor,” said Lime Rock Park President Skip Barber. “Through our fundraising efforts this year, we hope to have an impact on the lives of all of those who have the disease and their caregivers.”
On Oct. 4, 2020, hundreds of walkers will converge on the 1.5-mile Lime Rock Park track to take part in the Northwestern Connecticut Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event is the Alzheimer’s Association’s signature fundraiser, and is one of seven walks held across Connecticut every year. It’s an opportunity for families with loved ones with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia to see they are not alone, and come together for a common cause to end Alzheimer’s. Big Y donates to breast cancer groups
SPRINGFIELD, MA – To raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, all Big Y Supermarkets donated proceeds from their October initiative “Partners of Hope” to 29 local breast cancer support groups throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. This month-long program reflects the partnership, commitment and support of breast cancer awareness and research that are so vital for many. In October, Big Y raised $215,742.00.
