Library now open; safety guidelines in place

LITCHFIELD — The Oliver Wolcott Library is now open to the public. Guidelines are in place to assure the safety of staff and patrons.

Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, and 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Curbside Pick-Up continues, and is recommende­dfor anyone who wants to avoid waiting in line or might have additional health concerns. Hours are the same as the library hours. To place a Curbside Pick-Up order, email forpickup@owlibrary.org or call 860-567-8030.

Everyone over the age of 2 visiting the library is required to bring and wear their own mask, or face covering that completely covers their mouth and nose, unless they have a medical condition that prevents them from doing so. There is also a limit of 12 people in the library at a given time.

There are two public access computers available. Sessions are limited to one hour and are by appointmen­t only. To make an appointmen­t, call 860-567-8030. The self-serve public copier will also be available.

For the remainder of 2020, the library’s meeting room will be unavailabl­e and there will not be any in-person events. OWL will continue to offer live, virtual program events and self-directed events.
