Vaccine information for Litchfield County
TORRINGTON — The COVID-19 vaccines are now available to people 75 and older, following Phase 1b of the state’s plan, and area health departments and others are offering ways to receive the shot.
The Torrington Area Health District, 350 Main St., is holding a clinic from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Feb 1. Appointments are still available.
Residents must register at https://portal.ct.gov/DPH/Immunizations/Enroll-in-the-COVID-19Vaccination-Program.

Hartford HealthCare
People with a MyChartPLUS account wishing to receive the vaccine can log in, go to “Visits” or “Appointments” and find a Hartford HealthCare clinic with locations in Torrington, Hartford, Wethersfield, Norwich or Shelton.
The Torrington Armory clinic at 153 S. Main St. opened Monday.

Connecticut Department of Public Health
To register with the Vaccine Administration Management System, visit https://dphsubmissions.ct.gov/OnlineVaccineand fill out the form. Once registered, VAMS will send instructions to get an appointment for vaccination.
Those without internet access can call Connecticut’s COVID Vaccine Appointment Assistance Line at 877-918-2224.
The phone line is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and will offer a call back option when all contact specialists are busy serving other callers.

Within 24 to 48 hours, an email from CDC.GOV/ VAMS will provide instructions and details about required medical information.

Walgreens
Walgreens stores are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people 75 and older.
To see available locations or to schedule an appointment, visit www.walgreens.com/topic/covid19vac/CT.jsp.
Participating stores in Litchfield County include 76 Main St., Canaan; 28 E. Elm St., Torrington; 331 West St., Litchfield; 8A S. Main St., Terryville; 455 S. Main St., Thomaston; and 620 Main St., Watertown.
Barkhamsted
Volunteers have been calling seniors over 75 to see if they need assistance in scheduling their COVID-19 vaccines.
Those who haven’t been contacted should call Town Hall at 860-379-8285 and staff will help get an appointment as soon as possible and as close to Barkhamsted as possible, according to a statement.
