Games to watch E.O. Smith/Tolland at Enfield co-op (Enfield Twin), Wednesday, 3:45 p.m.:

The Bucks had lost five in a row, seven of eight, nine out of 11... then knocked off the top team in Division III, Conard, on Saturday. As you do. Next up is a visit to Enfield, which started that 7-of-8 stretch and is in a battle for a home playoff game.

South Windsor at Newington co-op (Newington Arena), Wednesday, 4 p.m.: Pretty good Division II program visits pretty good Division III program, but this game dropped in this space mostly to talk about South Windsor, because we’re gonna sing the praises of Wethersfield and Farmington Valley in a bit, and the Bobcats are 3-1 against them. They’re only middle-of-the-pack in the D-II points standings – Hand, one of the teams that beat them, are right ahead of them in ninth – but have room to move up.

Simsbury at Xavier (Champions), Wednesday, 6:40 p.m.: Simsbury has kind of tightened its hold on the sixth spot in the GameTimeCT Top 10 Poll, especially since beating the Falcons 4-1 on Jan. 28 in Simsbury. Here’s the rematch.

Xavier at Northwest Catholic (ISCC), Saturday, 6:30 p.m.: The teams tied at 2 in Cromwell on Dec. 14, which might as well be a different season by now.

Farmington Valley at Wethersfield (Newington Arena), Monday, 3 p.m.:

The Generals have defeated No. 9 Northwest Catholic twice, have played No. 6 Simsbury and No. 8 North Haven tight, but they’re hovering around .500. One test this week is Wethersfield, and the defending Division II champ has been on a roll the past month.
