Carol A. (Dombrowski) Jeffers, 84, of Barkhamste­d, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 with her loving children by her side. Born September 12, 1938 in Winsted; the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Oles) Dombrowski. Carol graduated from St. Anthony’s School, the Gilbert High School (Class of 1957) and never missed attending a Gilbert reunion. She worked for 30+ years for Waring Products in the Engineerin­g department before retiring in 2001. She was a parishione­r and communican­t of St. Joseph’s Church, Winsted. Carol also was a member of the Barkhamste­d Senior Center and was known to volunteer for New Horizons Village events in Unionville CT, where her son resided for many years.

In her retirement, Carol loved traveling to Nashville, the Pacific NW, Midwest, Canada and especially cruises to the Caribbean. She enjoyed visiting her daughter, Sharon in New Jersey. They traveled to Florida, Germany, France, and a Hawaiian cruise featuring a scenic helicopter ride over Kauai. They also enjoyed their religious pilgrimage to Italy with St. Joseph’s Church. These were special, memorable times.

As in family tradition, she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan; enjoying games, especially watching the World Series with her daughter and son-in-law at their home, where she also enjoyed many holidays, especially Christmas.

She was a very devoted mother to all of her three children especially her son, Bobby Jeffers of Canton, Sharon Jeffers of New Jersey and Diane Parrott and husband Rob of New Hartford and will be deeply missed by them. Carol is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and another great-greatniece on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by two sisters, Joan Saccomani, Doris Pfeiffer and a greatnephe­w.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciati­on to the teams at The Smilow Cancer Center of St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Health Care Hospice and The Cherry Brook Health Center for their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangemen­ts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’ Church, Winsted and/or any of the institutio­ns thanked by family for their care in her loving memory.
