The Register Citizen (Torrington, CT)
Springsteen, Journey headlining shows in Conn.
If 2022 was the year for bands from the ’90s and 2000s to tour Connecticut, then 2023 is the year of classic rock in the state.
Arena acts like Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band and Journey are among the classic rock headliners performing in Connecticut in the coming months. Artists who have also made their stamp on classic rock like Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, America and Chicago will also be performing in smaller rooms across the state, offering a more intimate setting for fans. Even nontraditional folk rock legends like James Taylor and Art Garfunkel are taking the stage this year.
Meanwhile, a classic rock “stadium-level entertainer the likes of which Connecticut has never seen” has been teased for the second edition of Bridgeport’s Sound On Sound music festival. Fairfield native John Mayer has already been revealed as a headliner for the festival.
