Liana Salamone, East Hampton: The sophomore scored her 1,000th career point in the Bellringers’ Class M second round win over Platt Tech.
Mikayla Walton, Oxford: The senior scored a season-high 36 points in Oxford’s 58-49 win over Lauralton Hall in a Class M first round game.
Urielle Afoakwa-Abrokwa, East Catholic: The freshman had a double-double with 14 points and 19 rebounds in East Catholic’s Class S first round win against Gilbert.
Nevaeh Yorke, NFA: NFA beat Amity in the Class LL first round with Yorke scoring 17 points.
Adriana Stranieri, Westbrook: Stranieri scored 19 points, leading Westbrook to a 44-36 win over St. Bernard in the Class S first round.
Breleigh Cooke, Old Saybrook: Cooke made three 3-pointers as Old Saybrook defeated Innovation in the Class S first round.
Phoebe Carpenter, Lyman Memorial: The sophomore had 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals as Lyman defeated Putnam 68-37 in a Class S first round game.
Chloe Shafir, Coginchaug: Shafir scored 18 points as Coginchaug defeated Ansonia 53-42 in the Class M first round.
Audrey Tice, St. Paul: Tice scored 18 points to lead St. Paul to a win over Grasso Tech in the Class M first round.
Nalyce Dudley, New London: Dudley lit up Weston for 31 points in a 60-35 win in the Class MM second round then scored a game-high 28 points in New London’s 47-41 win over Sheehan in the quarterfinals.
Mya Zaccagnini, Holy Cross: Zaccagnini returned to action with 26 points and 6 steals in the Crusaders 67-50 Class L second round win over Masuk. She added 16 points in Holy Cross’ quarterfinal win over New Milford. She finished her career never losing a game on the Crusaders’ home court.
Ava Giansiracusa, Mercy:
Giansiracusa scored 20 points in Mercy’s Class MM second round win over East Haven.
Emily Knowles, Conard:
The sophomore scored 24 points as Conard defeated New Britain 46-27 in the Class LL second round.
Izzy Carron, Newtown:
Carron had a career-high 24 points as Newtown won its Class LL second round game over NFA.
Ayanna Franks, Windsor:
Franks had 35 points as No. 12 Windsor upset No. 4 Torrington 57-45 in the Class L quarterfinals. Maddie Topa, Northwestern: Topa nearly led Northwestern to an upset win over Hand, scoring 33 points, including a game-tying 3pointer as time expired in regulation. Taylor Brennan, Pomperaug: Pomperaug rolled over North Haven in the Class L quarterfinals with Brennan getting a triple-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals.
