Warner Theatre hosts Ricky Byrd, Bacon Brothers

TORRINGTON — The Warner Theatre’s most recent additions to its calendar include Ricky Byrd April 8, followed by Beatles vs. Stones April 23, the Bacon Brothers June 18, Blackberry Smoke June 22, and Classic Seger, a Bob Seger tribute band, June 23.

Ricky Byrd

Byrd, a former member of Joan Jett & the Blackheart­s, headlines the theater’s next Studio Session, with support by Seth Adam in an acoustic show in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre, at 8 p.m. April 8.

Byrd has also recorded and played with

Roger Daltrey, and toured with Ian Hunter and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes respective­ly. He has also shared the stage with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Alice Cooper, Bruce Springstee­n, Steven Van Zandt, Joe Walsh, Mavis Staples, Dion, Brian Wilson and many others.

Singer/songwriter Seth Adam takes his musical cues from artists like Counting Crows, Tom Petty, and Jason Isbell, he creates his own brand of edgy, Americana rock and roll with a message. He is supporting his latest release, “Fits and Starts and Stops.”

‘Beatles vs. Stones: A Musical Showdown’

“Beatles vs. Stones: A Musical Showdown,” will be presented at 7 p.m. April 23 in the main theater.

The Fab Four, represente­d by tribute band Abbey Road will engage in a barrage of hits against Rolling Stones tribute band Satisfacti­on. Alternatin­g power sets with the two bands coming together on stage for an amazing encore. Four Torrington High School strings students are performing with the bands during the competitio­n.

The Bacon Brothers

The Bacon Brothers perform at 7 p.m. June 18 in the Oneglia Auditorium.

The Bacon Brothers turn a new page with their 11th release, Erato, whose five songs showcase the duo.

Blackberry Smoke

American rock band Blackberry Smoke — made up of Charlie Starr (vocals, guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), Richard

Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums) and Brandon Still (keyboards) — is known for a sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country and folk. The band will perform at 8 p.m. June 22, in the main theater.

Since their debut in 2004, the Atlantabas­ed band has independen­tly released six full-length albums and maintained a busy touring schedule.

Classic Seger

“Classic Seger” — Bob Seger’s Greatest Hits Live, performs its tribute show at 8 p.m. June 23. The nine-piece band plays a mix of Seger’s classic hits and deep cut gems, with classic hits like “Night Moves,” “Turn The Page,” “Katmandu,” “Mainstreet,” “Hollywood Nights,” “Against The Wind,” “Like A Rock,” “Old Time Rock’n’ Roll” and many more favorite songs.
