Fans of comic books, video games and everything “nerdy” can meet celebritie­s and other fans of their favorite “fandoms” at comic and fan convention­s around Connecticu­t.

Here are a few scheduled for this year.

CT Collectico­n

Held twice this year, CT Collectico­n caters to fans of toys, collectibl­es and comics.

Holiday Inn Norwich — 10 Laurel Boulevard, Norwich. Aug. 26

Brick Fest Live

More than 1 million LEGO bricks will be on display at this brick-buildinghe­med convention. There will be the opportunit­y for guests to partake in building a Guinness World Record-setting mosaic.

Connecticu­t Convention Center — 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford. April 15-16

Silver City Con IV

The city of Meriden hosts its own comic book convention that spotlights toy and comic book vendors from around the state.

Silver City Hall — 680 Old Colony Road, Meriden. May 7

Hartford Pokémon Regional Championsh­ip

The Hartford Pokémon Regional Championsh­ip will host the top trading card and Pokémon video game players as they compete to head to the World Championsh­ip in Japan.

Connecticu­t Convention Center — 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford. May 19-21

East Coast Collectibl­es Convention

More than 150 vendors will sell collectibl­es including Funko Pops, trading cards, comic books and autographe­d memorabili­a.

Mohegan Sun — 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Montville. June 11

ConnectiCo­n

ConnectiCo­n will celebrate its 20th anniversar­y this year featuring celebrity guests from video games like “Overwatch,” “The Last of Us” and “God of War.”

Connecticu­t Convention Center — 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford. July 20-23

Mohegan Sun TerrifiCon 2023

Connecticu­t’s version of Comic Con, TerrifiCon will feature celebrity guests, comic book creators, artists and vendors. This year will feature guests like Jonathan

Frakes ("Star Trek: The Next Generation”), John Wesley Shipp ("The Flash”) and Colby Minifie ("The Boys”).

CT HorrorFest

The long-running horror-themed event is moving to Hartford’s XL Center with celebrity guests including Cassandra Peterson ("Elvira”), Bill Moseley ("The Devil’s Rejects”) and David Howard Thornton ("Terrifier”).
