NOTI - Nikki Diane (McBride) Baker

Nikki passed away at her home in the evening of January 13th. She had been having health issues for the last year, and unfortunately the medical community was unable to pin point her problems. Nikki was born February 25, 1960, in Sunnyside WA to her parents Georgia and Ralph McBride. They moved to Springfield, where she started Elementary School, and then they moved to the Veneta area and she graduated from Elmira High School. She had 4 children, and was a very good mother and an awesome chef in the kitchen. She loved to go fishing and summer camping with all of her kids (and some of their friends). She was the kind of person who nursed a cat (Desmond) that was nearly dead, saved his life and had him for many years. He loved Nikki and literally followed her everywhere she went. Her real love was her grandchildren, and she attended every birth. Nikki is survived by her Husband of nearly 39 years, Steven, her sons, Jacob and wife Brandi (Avery), Mitchell and wife Lindsay ( Jase and Lennox), Charles and wife Amanda (Mason, twins Hailey and Aaliyah), and daughter, Ashley and husband Barrack. She is survived by her brothers Guy and Steven McBride, their wives and numerous nieces and nephews. Her Mother, Father, and her sister Debbie, died previously. A memorial for Nikki will be scheduled at a later date. She was a loving and beautiful woman with a huge heart and will be missed by many. Contributions in Nikki’s honor may be made to the Greenhill Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
