Emeralds stadium, pickleball, middle housing, more

This week, the Eugene City Council and Lane County commission­ers are slated to hold a joint meeting to hear public feedback on the River Road-Santa Clara Neighborho­od Plan. In addition, both bodies are scheduled to discuss updates on the proposed Emeralds stadium and multi-use facility at the Lane County fairground­s.

Eugene city councilors are also scheduled to possibly vote on the proposed pickleball facility at Lane Community College and on re-implementi­ng the city’s middle housing ordinance.

Lane County commission­ers are scheduled to hear a report on the state 2024 legislativ­e session and hold a public hearing and possibly vote on an update to the county’s floodway rules.

Springfiel­d city councilors are scheduled to interview several applicants applying for the city’s advisory committees. Lane Transit District directors are scheduled to vote on a new job descriptio­n for their CEO.

What: County commission­ers are scheduled to hold two public hearings and possible votes: one on the county’s rules for erosion prevention, and one on the county’s rules for floodway developmen­t.
