Police seek tips in home invasion
Hatfield police are seeking information about a home invasion in which a township man was injured early Thursday morning, Nov. 7. The perpetrators — who should be considered “armed and dangerous,” police say — fled the scene, and there were no reports of their apprehension as of Thursday night.
The Hatfield Township Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Leas Way for a robbery at 6:18 a.m. Thursday. Responding officers learned a male had just returned home from the Philadelphia area. While exiting his car in the driveway, he was approached by several individuals who held him at gun point. The man was forced into the residence where he was tied up and assaulted. The perpetrators stole numerous personal items from the residence, including several firearms.
They fled the residence in the
victim’s silver 2003 BMW 525i station wagon Pennsylvania registration JGN-5269.
The victim suffered lacerations to his head and face and was transported by VMSC to Lansdale Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
The Hatfield Township Police are requesting the public’s assistance with locating the BMW. Anyone with information on the location of this BMW or has information on this crime is asked to contact the Hatfield Township Police Department Detective Division #215-855-0903 or through PoliceTips@hatfieldtownship.org
