Stalking charges filed
PHILADELPHIA — Additional criminal charges for stalking, harassment and reckless endangerment were filed Saturday against 42-year-old Christopher Pagano, the Norristown resident ignominiously known as the “Swiss Cheese Pervert,” according to court records.
He was arrested Saturday and released on $30,000 unsecured bail.
Pagano is already facing multiple counts of the aforementioned charges in addition to charges of open lewdness and indecent exposure.
Pagano was originally arrested on Jan. 16 after several women came forward alleging that he propositioned them, requesting they perform lewd acts with him involving Swiss cheese.
Some of the women snapped pictures of the suspect and a connection was also made through graphic profiles featuring similar requests on internet dating sites.
The latest charges stem from a similar incident that occurred Oct. 27, 2013.
Montgomery County Court documents show that Pagano had struck before in the county. According to court records, he pleaded guilty in county court on Nov. 16, 2009, to a summary charge of disorderly conduct in connection with a February 2009 incident in Norristown during which he propositioned a woman with an unusual request that included cheese. At that time, Judge William J. Furber Jr., as part of a plea agreement, fined Pagano $100. A trial is scheduled for April 1. The “Swiss cheese pervert” rose to notoriety through numerous reports of a sometimes pants-less man driving up to women, dangling a piece of Swiss cheese and offering them money to watch or perform sex acts featuring the dairy product.
