The Church of the Holy Spirit, Sumneytown Pike at Barndt Road, Upper Salford will host a free recital by two young Harleysvil­le area residents, Peter Lockman on cello and Owen Lockman on piano, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 at the church. Lockman, 18, just completed his first year at DePauw University in Green Castle, IN, to which he has a scholarshi­p as a cello performanc­e major. He has played the cello since he was four years old and in the past he twice won the Satori Chamber Music competitio­n. Lockman, 15, has played the piano since he was six years old. He is home schooled and is a member of the Sola Gratia Musicians’ Concert Choir, Madrigal Singers, and Men’s Ensemble, according to informatio­n provided. All are welcome. No tickets needed.

Christ Covenant Church, 2200 Mainland Road (formerly Sumneytown Pike), Towamencin, will host a Free Community Picnic Style Dinner (hot dogs, baked beans, maca- roni salad and dessert) on Sunday, July 27 at 5 p.m. No reservatio­ns are required. Lansdale Public Library’s Clean and Green Extravagan­za 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 19 features shredding, e-cycling ($10 charge per TV), a car wash, a used book sale, baked good and a costume jewelry sale. The library is at 301 Vine St., Lansdale.

A radio control model airplane airshow and Warbirds Over Pennsylvan­ia Giant Scale FlyIn, hosted by the Buc-Le Aero Sportsmen, happens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 26 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27 at the Jon P. Fritges Memorial Flying Field at Kumry and Rosenberge­r roads, Milford Township. Spectators are welcome, food concession­s will be available and admission is free (parking donations accepted). Sample local and craft beers at the Indian Valley Public Library, 100 E. Church Ave., Telford, with Indian Valley Beer Fest 2014, set for 5 to 8 p.m. July 26. VIP tickets are $65 ($50 is tax deductible) and include Beer Garden access at 4 p.m., catered food, one-off and limited specialty beers and a souvenir beer glass.
