Millicent “Meme” Holod, age 55, of Lafayette Hill, formerly of North Wales, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at home in Lafayette Hill. “Meme” was born May 7, 1960 in N. Wales, PA. She is the daughter of Thomas and the late Millicent (Williams) Ladner. She was the beloved wife of Louis J. Holod Jr.

Meme was a graduate of North Penn High School and while growing up in North Wales she was a former Candy Striper at North Penn Hospital. In her later years she had been employed at the hospital as a Building Supervisor. She also was a former Sunday School Teacher.

After her marriage to her husband Lou she helped manage their family business at Holods True Value Center in Lafayette Hill and most recently managed their Gift Shop.

Meme enjoyed traveling and vacationin­g at the Jersey Shore, the Mountains and Citrus Hills Florida. She was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafay- ette Hill.

She also enjoyed arts and crafts along with being a loving grandmothe­r to her granddaugh­ter Kayla.

Meme will be sorely missed by her loving family along with her co-workers, friends and her community.

She is survived by her husband: Louis J. Holod Jr.; two sons: Louis J. Holod III (Amanda) of Lafayette Hill , and Joseph R. Holod of Lafayette Hill; and her father, Thomas Ladner. Sister of Thomas Ladner Jr. and Greg Ladner. Loving grandmothe­r to Kayla Holod.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 2 at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. 19444. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 2 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Philip Neri Church. Memorial donations may be made to the above church.
