Margaret ‘Peggy’ Rose Pagnotta of Norristown

Margaret “Peggy” Rose Pagnotta, age 57, of Norristown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at home, of natural causes. Peggy was born in Norristown to the late Ivan Chantry and Marie K. Chantry on Nov. 8, 1958. She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Norristown, Pa. Graduated from Methacton High School in 1976. Peggy married on Nov. 5, 1977, at Visitation BVM Catholic Church, Trooper, PA to her husband of 39 years Randy Pagnotta, of Lansdale, Pa.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who had a special love for children. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lansdale. Co-founder of the Methacton Community Youth Program, vice president of the Just Say No Pop Warner Wolverine Football and Cheerleadi­ng Program. Peggy was a volunteer member of the Perkiomen Valley Outlaw Youth Wrestling Program, Methacton High School Football Parents Club and The Methacton High School Wrestling Parents Club.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Randy Pagnotta of Lansdale, Pa.; five children, sons Rocky Pagnotta and daughter-inlaw Tiffany Pagnotta of Red Hill, Pa., John Paul Pagnotta of Boston, Mass., Michael Joseph Pagnotta of Pottstown, Pa., and Robert Anthony Pagnotta of Lansdale, Pa., and daughter Maria Theresa Pagnotta of West Norriton Township, Pa.; three grandchild­ren, Lilyanna Rose, Emmalyn Marie, and Dominic Paul Pagnotta of Red Hill, Pa.; mother-in-law Angeline C. Pagnotta of East Norriton Township, Pa.; special family friend Nate Sallotti of Tooper, Pa; sisters Kathy Clinic of Pottstown, Pa., and Marie Burness of Collegvill­e, Pa.; brother Joseph Chantry of Collegvill­e, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peggy was preceded in death by her sister Mary Elizabeth Chantry and brother John Chantry.

Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike Lansdale, PA 19446, from 9-10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am. Entombment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Dekalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401.
