Susie H. Bergey of Souderton

Susie H. Bergey, 100, of Souderton, died Aug. 24, 2016. She was the wife of the late Roy D. Bergey, who died Sept. 24, 1987.

Born April 10, 1916, in Franconia Township, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Sallie (Halteman) Derstine.

Mrs. Bergey was a lifelong member of Franconia Mennonite Church. A dedicated homemaker, she was always devoted to her children. She also loved sacred music, drawing, and was a talented seamstress.

She is survived by her children, Thelma D. Spitzkopf (John J.) of Souderton, Donald D. Bergey (Bonnie S.), also of Souderton, Evelyn B. Landis (Richard N.) of Williamsport, and Carolyn B. Brand of Pennsburg; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Franconia Mennonite Church, 613 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
