Copestick, Wilms shine at regionals

This past weekend the bowling Regionals were held in Lancaster and Ephrata. Singles events were held Friday with the girls at Dutch lanes in Ephrata and the boys at Leisure lanes in Lancaster.

Of this tournament the top 12 boys and girls qualify for the singles event in the state championships. The top 6 boys and girls team qualify for the team event in the state championships held at the same venues on March 17 and 18.

In the singles event three local bowlers had outstanding days but fell short of qualifying.

There were 190 boys and 147 girls bowling in the event.

Dylan Copestick of Norristown placed 14th, missing out by 14 pins

Allison Wilms of Pennridge placed 18th, missing out by 30 pins.

Colin Nast of North Penn took 26th, missing by 50 pins. Other local qualifiers were:
