William B. Moore of Harleysville
William B. Moore, 74, a resident of Harleysville, PA for almost 50 years, passed away April 1, 2017 in his home. He and his wife, Florence (Heiler) Moore, would have observed their 48th wedding anniversary on June 21st of this year.
Born October 1, 1942 in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was a son of the late Coleman B. and Frances (Oakford) Moore. He was a graduate of The Hill School and received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Mr. Moore was the former president and C.E.O. of Moore Products in Spring House, PA. He was currently the C.F.O. of Zukay Live Foods of Palm, PA.
Mr. Moore had a passion for fishing, flying and the great outdoors. He cared deeply for others and dedicated his free time to his family and volunteering. He was a member of the Quakertown Pilots Association and flew for Angel Flight East. He was a member of the Cohorts of Philadelphia and the Anglers Club of Philadelphia. Mr. Moore also served as a mentor for the M.B.A. Program at the Fox Business School at Temple University. He was an active member of the Harleysville Lions Club and was a former Harleysville Jaycee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Catherine Grzybek and her husband, Scott, of Elverson, PA, and Jennifer Cramer and her husband, Keith, of Quakertown, PA; a son, Andrew Moore and his wife, Maggie Mae, of San Jose, CA; and seven grandchildren: Brittany Sweeney, Kylee Cramer, Alikah Cramer, Jacob Grzybek, Noah Grzybek, Ryland Cramer and Kaydin Cramer. He is also survived by a brother, James Moore and his wife, Joan, of Uwchland, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Moore.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Williams-BergeyKoffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), PA, where family will receive friends from 9:30 AM -11:30 AM. Interment will be private at Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
