Elaine Louise Stover, 86, of Telford, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017, in Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill Township.

She was the beloved wife of James L. Stover with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversar­y.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ernest George and Margaret Matilda (Schiefke) Claussen.

She was employed as a secretary with Harleysvil­le Insurance for five years prior to her retirement in 1994. She was previously employed with Philco Ford in Lansdale and Blue Bell for 21 years.

Mrs. Stover was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford, and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale. She was also a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hatfield, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, bowling, and traveling; among her favorite destinatio­ns were Yellowston­e National Park, Bermuda, Europe and New England.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a Sister-In-Law Joann Claussen, of Lansdale, and nephews; Scott, Kurt and Erich. She was preceded in death by brothers, Glenn Warren, and George John Claussen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 107 W. Lincoln Ave., Telford, PA 18969. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenienc­e of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in her memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
