Rain or shine. No camping. Adult two day passes: Donation $30 (Saturday only). Adults (age 16 & over): Donation $20.00 (Daily). Teens (Age 13 to 15): Donation $10.00 (Daily). Children (12 & under): Donation $5 (Daily). All proceeds will be applied to the operation of the trout nursery and programs for children. Breakfast/ lunch & drinks available. SHRED EVENT

Sat. April 29: To help fight the recent increase in identity theft cases Limerick Garden of Memories, in partnershi­p with Shred Nations, will host a shred day event for community residents to shred their confidenti­al documents securely. This event will also serve as a Food Drive with proceeds going to the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communitie­s, a not for profit food pantry which benefits less fortunate families serving the greater Pottstown and surroundin­g areas. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9 am to 12 pm. Limerick Garden of Memories, in partnershi­p with Shred Nations, will be hosting the shred day for community residents to shred their confidenti­al documents securely. Residents can bring their documents to the cemetery park located at 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, Pa. 19468 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will occur regardless of weather and will take place Rain or Shine. Community residents and businesses are encouraged to bring their unwanted confidenti­al documents – including banking statements, old tax return files, medical records, credit card receipts, etc. – to be shredded on site. Machine paper, letterhead, white tablet paper, computer printout paper, laser print paper, and other miscellane­ous papers and staples are accepted (Note: VHS tapes, CDs and binders will not be accepted for shredding).

Local NAACP to host candidates forum

Thurs., May 4: George Washington Carver Center 249 East Jacoby Street, will be the site of the Norristown NAACP 2017Primar­y Election Candidate Forum. The forum will be open to the public to attend and will focus on all municipal council, Norristown Area School District school board candidates and magisteria­l judge contests. Each candidate will have the opportunit­y to share their ideas and goals for the community. Thurs., May 4: Registrati­on for Science in the Summer begins! Children entering grades 2 through 6 can sign up for this free, fun science enrichment program provided by The Franklin Institute. This year we explore the Science of Sports. Behind every profession­al basketball player, gymnast, swimmer, and sprinter is a team of scientists who help athletes excel in their sport, from trainers, nutritioni­sts and physical therapists to statistici­ans and equipment engineers. Students will learn about these scientists and tackle basic scientific concepts through fun, hands-on activities like experiment­ing with healthy sports drink recipes and creating their own bouncy balls to test bounce height against other sports balls. Thurs., May 4: The Montgomery Township Recreation Department will be hosting a Family Game Night at the Montgomery Township Community & Recreation Center (1030 Horsham Road, Montgomery­ville, PA 18936) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The evening will offer a fun way for families to get out of the house, meet their neighbors, and have the opportunit­y to win all sorts of prizes including one month household membership­s to Mont CRC, board games, kids’ prizes, and prize baskets.
