Alleged cocaine dealer arrested
Police: Daniel “Ro Zay” Rosado, 25, nabbed after an investigation into his drug-dealing activities
A 25-year-old Lansdale man has been arrested for allegedly dealing cocaine and marijuana, according to Towamencin police.
Daniel “Ro Zay” Rosado, of the 500 block of West Third Street, was arraigned April 29 on 14 criminal counts, including multiple felony counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
Towamencin detectives said in charging documents that after an investigation into Rosado’s alleged drugdealing activities — which included two controlled buys — police obtained and executed a search warrant on Rosado’s residence on the afternoon of April 27.
Found during the raid were 20 bags of cocaine totaling 8 grams, as well as 40
grams of pot in 20 individually packaged bags and in a mason jar, according to court documents.
Among the other items police also seized were a digital scale, several cellphones, a Taser, a collapsible baton, and a box of nitrile gloves which, according to investigators, are commonly used while packaging powder drugs to avoid them being absorbed through the skin.
Authorities said Rosado consented to a search of his cellphone, which “displayed both clear communications
and coded communications by drug customers seeking to by controlled substances from [Rosado],” according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Rosado is due in Lansdale district court on May 8 for a preliminary hearing in the case.
Police said that they are aware of other “known and unknown” associates of Rosado involved in the drug distribution operation, but did not say whether further arrests in the case are imminent.
