A 52-year-old Hatfield Township woman arrested last month for allegedly robbing Sunoco stations in Towamencin and Hilltown in two-day span is headed for trial in one of the two cases after waiving her preliminary hearing.

Lisa Mae Fabian, of the 400 block of Bentwood Drive, appeared in Lansdale district court and waived one count each of first-degree felony robbery, firstdegree misdemeanor theft, first-degree misdemeanor receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor illegal drug possession, court records indicate.

Her bail was lowered from $10,000 cash to 10 percent of $10,000 cash.

Detectives said in court documents that just after 6 a.m. on Monday, April 17, a woman later identified as Fabian went into the Sunoco station at 710 Valley Forge Road and demanded money while holding her hand under her shirt in a manner that appeared like she may have been holding a gun. Fabian made off with approximately $250, fleeing the area in a red four-door sedan, police said.

Around 3 a.m. on April 19, Fabian allegedly robbed a Hilltown Sunoco, but about 90 minutes later, a Towamencin cop on patrol spotted Fabian — who was driving her maroon Nissan Sentra on Valley Forge Road — and, believing she matched the description of the robbery suspect, pulled her over, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Fabian provided a voluntary statement to police admitting to both robberies, telling detectives that she used her finger under her shirt as a “simulated gun,” adding that she stole around $200 from the Hilltown Sunoco, the affidavit indicates.

Formal arraignment in the Towamencin case is scheduled for June 21.

Fabian has been charged with one count each of firstdegree felony robbery, firstdegree misdemeanor theft and first-degree misdemeanor receiving stolen property in the Hilltown case; a preliminary hearing in a Bucks County district court is scheduled for May 12. Bail in that case has been set at 10 percent of $50,000 cash.

Fabian is currently incarcerated at Montgomery County Correctional Facility while awaiting her upcoming court dates.
