For the 10th year in a row the Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group was given the Walter P. Chrysler Club Award, Chrysler’s highest recognition for overall sales and service performance.

“It makes me feel real proud of the company and my employees, that they are dedicated to giving a nice, friendly, fast and simple buying and service experience to our customers,” D’Ambrosio said. “I’m extremely happy that our philosophy for 34 years is still holding true. This is a very tough award to get.”

D’Ambrosio said the honor is presented based on customer surveys, and that the company, which opened in 1983, has the highest customer loyalty rating in the Mid-Atlantic. That includes some customers who have been there since the beginning.

“We have families that have bought 15 or 20 cars,” D’Ambrosio said. “Around 27 percent is multi, multi purchases.”

The dealership, in the 1200 block of East Lancaster Avenue near Downingtown, has around 140 employees, including 40 salespeople. D’Ambrosio said they are selling improved Chrysler automobiles, including the highly rated Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Ram.

“The products are extremely attractive vehicles functionally and in gas mileage,” he said. “As a dealer, I’m very pleased to have the brand.” In 2016, D’Ambrosio’s had a very strong selling year. While that year was good, dealership sales are up 12 percent so far this year. Things have come a long way since the industry’s dark days following the economic crash of 2008, D’Ambrosio said.

“Besides the product and styling changes, we can take better care of the customer because credit is easier and Chrysler has its own financial arm again,” D’Ambrosio said. “Everything is in place to take care of the customer.”

“I love meeting people, I love our customers here in Chester County and I love selling cars,” D’Ambrosio said. “I’ll probably do this until the end.”
