The service will feature the churches’ combined choirs, along with a meditation by Rev. Serena Sellers, Pastor of Christ Lutheran. Reading group

Broad Street Grind: St. Philip Orthodox Church’s Philokalia Reading Group meets select Thursdays at the coffee shop at 117 E. Broad St., Souderton. The next meeting is 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23. The Philokalia is an anthology on prayer and life in Christ. A multi-volume text from Mt. Athos in the late 1700s, it contains spiritual writings from the fourth to the 15th century. This reading group will study the first volume of

St. Luke’s United Church of Christ: Meng Wang, a violinist with the Philadelph­ia Orchestra, performs a recital with pianist Hanchien Lee at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke’s, 125N. Main St., North Wales. Both musicians are graduates of the Curtis Institute of Music, and they will perform works by J.S. Bach, Brahms, Chopin and Schubert. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church: The ninth annual food drive for Manna on Main Street continues through November. Donate canned and boxed goods and gravy in the baskets outside of the sanctuary. Christ Covenant Church: During November, Christ Covenant Church, 2200 Mainland Road, Towamencin, will be supporting Lamb Foundation’s Cornucopia Cupboard with donations of non-perishable food. Items especially needed in restocking their food pantry are: canned fruit and vegetables, canned beans, peanut butter, jelly, 100-percent fruit juice, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, canned tuna and salmon, disposable razors, deodorant, bar soap, shampoo, bleach, laundry detergent, fabric softeners, paper towels and toilet paper.
