Monica Ehret (nee Beliveau-Tobey) “LOMYLE,” 76, of Gwynedd and formerly of Lansdale, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 after a short illness.

She was born and raised in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of Henri and Louise (nee Berube) Beliveau. Her only sister Constance predecease­d her.

She earned a BA in English at Regis College and an MA in Vision Rehabilita­tion from Boston College. She worked with visually impaired adults in Manhattan for 20 years and was on the faculty of Hunter College and the PA College of Optometry (now Salus U). Her career included writing and overseeing research grants that focused on low vision in the elderly and writing and producing educationa­l materials for long term care staff.

She married Herman in 1990 and resided with various cats and dogs in Blue Bell, PA until moving to Foulkeways in 2015.

She was a good cooker and a good looker and a lovely vibrant person who brought joy into the lives of all she met. She loved the ocean, reading, sailing, cooking, gardening and music.

She will be cremated and a celebratio­n of her life will be held at a later date at Foulkeways. Arrangemen­ts are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in her name should be sent to MANNA, 420 North 20th St,. Philadelph­ia, PA 19130 as would doing a kind deed in memory of her.
