Methacton survives D’West in shootout

METHACTON 2, D’WEST 1 >> Methacton’s Molly Frey came through with 26 saves and four more in the shootout as Methacton advanced to the PIAA Tournament Friday. Methacton won the shootout 2-0 behind Frey and goals from Alexa Kratz and Rachel Alderfer. The Warriors (14-7) will face No. 2 Perk Valley Tuesday.

ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 4, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 0 >> Katie LaBella had a goal and an assist as the Patriots stormed past Wood in the PCL semifinals on Friday. Mary Kate Kearney yielded no goals for another shutout for Carroll.
