Long & Foster VP elected 2019 president of Real Estate Business Institute

Debora Weidman-Phillips, vice president of Long & Foster’s Blue Bell office, has been elected as 2019 president of the Real Estate Business Institute (REBI), an affiliate of the National Associatio­n of Realtors.

Weidman-Phillips was installed to her new post by Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate, at a ceremony Nov. 2 during the Realtors Conference & Expo in Boston, Mass. Weidman-Phillips’s term as president runs from Dec. 1, 2018, through Nov. 30, 2019.

“I’m honored to have been elected as the 2019 president of the Real Estate Business Institute and look forward to taking on this new role with such an outstandin­g organizati­on,” Weidman-Phillips said. “I’m confident that, working with my peers at REBI, we’ll continue to help those organizati­ons and individual­s endeavorin­g to increase profitabil­ity, productivi­ty and performanc­e in the real estate industry.”

REBI, which has more than 21,000 members worldwide, sets the industry standard for innovative resources, tools and learning opportunit­ies for real estate profession­als. It is the governing body of one of the most prestigiou­s real estate network for brokers, owners, managers, teams and agents in the nation.

Weidman-Phillips began her real estate career in 1981. She earned her Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designatio­n in 2008 and has held many REBI committee positions. Weidman-Phillips served on REBI’s board of directors from 2014 to 2017, then moved into a leadership role. She also served REBI locally as the president of the Pennsylvan­ia CRB chapter in 2013.

In addition to REBI, Weidman-Phillips has served her local and state Realtor associatio­ns in many leadership roles and on a number of committees. WeidmanPhi­llips was awarded Realtor of the Year by the Montgomery County Associatio­n of Realtors in 2001 and by the Eastern Montgomery County Associatio­n of Realtors in 1996. She is also a Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) Major Investor and Pennsylvan­ia RPAC Lifetime Member (19982002), and she received the Realtors Active in Politics Award in 2000.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServic­es Fox & Roach, Realtors salutes sales associates for being the office leaders for the month of October 2018.

In the Collegevil­le office, the Andrea Szlavik Team has been recognized for listings and units. Licensed since 2001, Szlavik, ASR, associate broker, is a recipient of the Chairman’s Circle Award. She is a 17-year resident of Harleysvil­le.

The Altemose Team, led by Beverly Altemose, has been recognized for volume. She is a recipient of the Chairman’s Circle Award.

Meanwhile, in the Jenkintown Home Markeeting Center, Andrew Smith has been recognized for listings among individual agents. Licensed since 2006, Smith, e-Pro, is a recipient of the President’s Circle Award. He is a 23-year resident of Jenkintown.

agents. Licensed since 2006, Krevitz, CNE, is a recipient of the Five Star Agent and Leading Edge Society Awards. She is a 28-year resident of Cheltenham.

The Maryclaire Dzik Team has been recognized for listings and units among teams. Licensed since 1993, Dzik, associate broker, CRS, ABR, GRI, CNE, is a recipient of the President’s Circle Award. She is a 36-year resident of Cheltenham.

The Connie Berg Team, led by Connie Berg and consisting of Vicki Klink, Leslie Porter, Grant Briskin, Jenna Koser, Kate Collins, Suzanne Gourley and Natalie Rich, has been recognized for volume among teams. Licensed since 1982, Berg, ALHS, CNE, is a recipient of the Chairman’s Circle, Top of the Rock and Five Star Real Estate Agent Awards. She is a resident of Meadowbroo­k.

Local Realtors attend real estate conference in Nashville
