Ross C. & Rhoda E. Wood­ward of Fort Wash­ing­ton

Ross C. Wood­ward, 84, and Rhoda E. “Vicki” (Statuti) Wood­ward, 81, both of Fort Wash­ing­ton, died Tues­day, De­cem­ber 4, 2018. The cou­ple was mar­ried Septem­ber 24, 1955 and re­cently cel­e­brated 63 years of mar­riage.

Mr. Wood­ward was em­ployed as the su­per­in­ten­dent of Whitemarsh Val­ley Coun­try Club for many years. He owned and op­er­ated Wood­ward’s Mower Ser­vice for 30 years and re­tired as a groundskeeper with the Audubon Na­ture Pre­serve.

Mrs. Wood­ward was em­ployed with the Mont­gomery County Reg­is­ter of Wills for 30 years.

Both were long­time mem­bers of Trin­ity Lutheran Church, Fort Wash­ing­ton.

Sur­vivors in­clude their sons, R. Christo­pher “Woody” Wood­ward (Ju­lia) of Har­leysville, and Mark A. Wood­ward (Linda) of St. Peters­burg, FL; three grand­chil­dren, Blair, Kyle, and Leigha; Ross’s sis­ter, Jane Davis of Wox­all; and Rhoda’s brother, Joseph H. Statuti II (Jane) of Delaware.

Rel­a­tives and friends may call af­ter 10:00 a.m. Mon­day, De­cem­ber 10, 2018 at Huff & Lak­jer Fu­neral Home, 701 Der­s­tine Ave., Lansdale, fol­lowed by the Fu­neral Ser­vice at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memo­rial Park, Ambler.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily re­quests that con­tri­bu­tions be made in the cou­ple’s mem­ory to Trin­ity Lutheran Church, 253 Sum­mit Ave., Fort Wash­ing­ton, PA 19034.
