Wednesday chime concerts

St. John’s United Church of Christ: On July 31, David Furniss retired as the Minister of Music at St. John’s United Church of Christ, a position he held for 33 years. On August 1, St. John’s welcomed Andrew Paulson, former Director of Music Ministries at Westwood Lutheran Church, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as their new Minister of Music. We continue to invite folks to sit in their cars in the parking lots and listen to the beautiful music during the Wednesday noon chime concerts. The church is at 500 W. Main St., Lansdale. Visit www.st-johns-ucc.org for more information.

Outdoor service

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211 S. Main St. North Wales, celebrates the 12th Sunday after Pentecost with an outdoor service at 9 a.m. in the shaded side yard, corner of Main and Church. We will gather and behave like good responsible citizens, bringing our masks, our own lawn chairs (BYOC) and staying the suggested 6 feet apart from each other, unless you are sitting next to a family member. You can park your car in the parking lot. Handicapped accessible. We have individual communion kits that people can pick up at the beginning of the service. You don’t need a reservation. Just come. If the weather brings rain or thunderstorms we will cancel. Check your email or call the office if in doubt. At the same time we continue our internet church services. Access via www.stpetersnorthwales.org directly or click on the Facebook logo. All of our past services and special music can also be viewed on our web site. Minimal staffing in the office: 215-699-4604. Our weekly food drive for Manna on Main Street is every Wednesday from 11-1.
