MedRisk is the largest managed care organization dedicated to the physical rehabilitation of injured workers. The company was founded in 1994 by Shelley Boyce to solve a specific issue, according to the company’s website.

“While managed care organizations were providing cost containment and efficiencies in numerous healthcare service sectors, according to the company, physical medicine for workers’ compensation had been left out,” information on the website states. That includes things like physical therapy, occupational therapy or chiropractic use.

The company offers clinical oversight, access to a credentialed, nationwide network of providers and personalized service.
