Kountroubi­s, North Penn rally past CB South

NORTH PENN 2, CB SOUTH 1» North Penn played to the final whistle against a tough CB South and came up big, scoring the winning goal with 3 seconds remaining in regulation. Eleni Kountroubi­s made a final push and put back a rebound to close out the win for the Knights. Erin O’Donnell scored the first goal in the first quarter off of a rebound following a Knights corner. The team put together a full 60 minute effort and worked hard the last few days at practice to improve upon last week. North Penn 2, CB South 1

PLYMOUTHWH­ITEMARSH12, ABINGTON 2 » PW (4-0, 4-0) had a slow start and Abington took advantage in transition and was able to score the first goal of the game. After a few goal-scoring opportunit­ies, juinor Hailey Copestick was able to find Ava Borkowski at the top of the circle, who found the back of the net on a reverse shot. A few minutes later, Abington earned a corner and scored again to put the Ghosts up 2-1. PW responded immediatel­y off the pushback when senior Kaleigh Missimer found Ava Borkowski up the middle with space to dribble, who finished a reverse shot from the top of the circle. Borkowski scored a third time to put PW on top 3-2 entering the second quarter. PW never looked back after the start of the second, executing on numerous corners to take a commanding lead. Junior Molly Lynch scored back to-back goals. Borkowski and Missimer each finished with three goals and senior Regan Gehman added one more.
