Colonial Theatre presents ‘A Nightmare on Bridge Street’

Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:

• The Colonial Theatre, Phoenixvil­le, presents “A Nightmare on Bridge Street,” a virtual Halloween movie marathon, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday. “Creepy Cartoon Cavalcade” will get things started at 6 p.m., followed by “The Bat” (Crane Wilbur, 1959) at 6:30, “Plan 9 From Outer Space” (Ed Wood, 1957) at 8, “Dementia 13” (Francis Ford Coppola, 1963) at 9:30 and “Night of the Living Dead” (George Romero, 1968) at 10:45. All titles will be available until 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 for a household weekend pass and will be available until 5 p.m. Saturday at thecolonia­ltheatre.com. Curbside Concession­s will be available at the Colonial for pickup from noon to 8 p.m. Walk-up orders only.

• Rockin’ in the Parking Lot, a concert featuring Into Oblivion, will held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Coventry Mall, Pottstown.

The Tailgate Takeout Series at 118 North,

Wayne, presents Mason Porter tonight at 6, Not Tuna on Friday at 6 p.m., Miss Jen of Makin’ Music at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, We May Be Right (Billy Joel tribute) at 6 p.m. Saturday and the Naked Sun at 6 p.m. Sunday, all playing from the restaurant’s bay windows. • The Manatees will perform live in the grove at Fitzwater Station, Phoenixvil­le, on Sunday at 3 p.m. The restaurant will be open for food and beverages. Bring chairs and blankets.

The Groovemast­ers ft. Bennie Sims and Cliff Starkey and Erich Cawalla’s Uptown Band

will team up for the Alisa B. Memorial Funk Fest on Friday as part of the Truck N Brew Open Air Concert Series at Willow Glen Park, Sinking Spring. The concert benefits the Reading Musical Foundation’s Alisa B. Anderson Memorial Scholarshi­p Fund. Anderson was a Berks County vocalist for many groups, most notably the Groovemast­ers, who died of stomach cancer in 2015. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door (if available),with food and drink available for purchase from Konopelski Katering and various food trucks. • The sixth annual ReadingFil­mFEST will be held this weekend as a hybrid online and in-person event. More than 25 films will be shown on the Jumbotron at FirstEnerg­y Stadium, Reading, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those films and more will be shown online starting today. Panel discussion­s and Q&As will available both live and online. Those attending at the stadium will be seated in the outfield (bring blankets and chairs). Concession­s will be available. Tickets cost $10 for a single film or shorts block (online or live), $75 for an all-access pass (online or live) and $35 for a Saturday Pass (live event only). • A virtual version of Boyertown’s Pickfest Music/Art & Agricultur­e Crawl will be held this weekend. For a minimum contributi­on of $10, the following concerts will be streamed into your home: The Manatawny Creek Ramblers on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Other Farm and Forge, Boyertown; Jack Murray and the Blue Tarp Ramblers on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. from Brakeman’s Café, Boyertown; and Uncle Jake & the 18 Wheel Gang on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Other Farm and Forge.
